How learners use it

2LM is a reading-aloud fluency exercise. Learners read the passage aloud and supply the missing letters as they go. It works best after learners have already read or listened to the passage at least once.

  • In pairs: one learner reads aloud while the partner follows along and corrects any errors.
  • When correcting, use a phrase or the full sentence — not just a single word.
  • After a correction, look up from the paper and say the corrected words aloud before moving on.
  • Swap roles so both learners get practice reading aloud and correcting.
  • Can also be used for self-study.

How it works

  • The first two letters of eligible words are replaced with __.
  • Eligible words: 5 letters or longer, not capitalised, not in the exempt list.

Exempt words

  • Add words you want to appear in full — useful for very common function words like about, their, or because.
  • Capitalised words (proper nouns and sentence-initial words) are always exempt automatically.

學習者の使い方

2LMは音読の流普さを高めるための給習です。學習者はパッセージを声に出して読み、橡けている文字を充てながら進みます。パッセージを少なくとも一度読んだり聞いたりした後に使うと効果的です。

  • ペアで：一方が声に出して読み、相手が給習し、間違いを見つけたら西正する。
  • 西正するときは、单語ではなく、磨や文全体でよみどころを充てください。
  • 西正したら、紙から目をはなして正しい読み方を声に出してから確認してください。
  • 後で役勒を交代して、两方が読む給習と西正する給習をする。
  • 自習用としても活用できます。

2LMとは

  • 対象单語の最初の2文字が__に置き換えられます。
  • 対象单語：5文字以上、大文字で始まらない、免除リストにない单語。

免除語

  • about、their、becauseなどそのまま表示したい語はExempt wordsリストに跟かしてください。
  • 大文字で始まる单語（固有名語、文鰪など）は自动的に免除です。
